Settled in Arkansas...mostly :)

Hi everyone, I am finally getting settled in our new place in Bentonville, AR and we love it here. :) Yes, the house we rented is right near a wooded area and is just hilly as I love it...we have brown eagles flying overhead regularly and the people are awesome...just really friendly! Wow, it feels like home.

I'm in the midst of setting up a new website! Now that I am free to be me full time, I am fully considering a new website, complete with all the items I am making and services I can offer! The question now, is what will the site name be? I'm almost there, but just need spirit to give me the final ingredient I need and the recipe will be complete! I'll keep you posted on my progress...but as always, I'm available for phone readings and energy healing work. And I have my store on Etsy.com in the meantime, if you're looking for something sparkly to wear. :) So, please contact me if you need me.

I'm offering my readings and healing work at $50.00 per hour on a sliding scale. So, if you can afford the $50.00 great, if you can afford more then great and if you can't quite afford $50.00, that's fine too...we'll work things out. Spiritual growth is more important than money, so don't hesitate to email me for a phone appointment.

See below for my areas of knowledge, and have a blessed day!! Much love, Jill

Do you view life through half closed eyes?

Hey y'all! Just practicing for my move to Arkansas :)

I have been thinking of something lately. I wonder when you are holding a conversation with someone, or are out in nature and someone points out a sunset or a rock, or stream, or you are out shopping and spot this beautiful blouse or whatever you happen to be looking for, do you look at this object ALL the way, or only 1/2 way? or even only 3/4 of the way?

I noticed that I fell into the category of seeing things about 1/2 way. Our lives are busy. We are constantly running around trying to accomplish things, from getting to our jobs on time, to making sure the kids are ready for school, to completing that project at home, so we can start the next one, that we don't really see what is taking place right before our very eyes.

I know people have spoken before of slowing down and taking the time to appreciate what is around you, and I have to agree with that. I'm still guilty of my running around and trying to get things accomplished, but I promise to set aside time every day to slow down and really see that flower, all it's petals, the inside of it, and the details of the bee sitting on it too. Or the details of the apple I'm eating, or my childrens faces, full on, while they relate a story to me from their day at school.

The more we are aware of our surroundings, the more our senses heighten, the more we become aware of our spirit Selves, hanging out waiting to be noticed. When we are in touch with our spirit Selves, then we are able to really tune in on what it is we are supposed to be doing, answer the questions we have in our lives, and appreciate the world we have created for ourselves, or change that world if it no longer suits the purpose it did 6 months ago. We are the creators of our worlds, why not appreciate all the hard work we have done? Spirit talks to us through our creations, why not take the time to listen?

Much love! Jill

How do you like your life?

"How do you like yer possum, Lowell, fallin' off the bones tender or with a little fight left in it?" ~ Granny from the Beverly Hillbillies

I just love granny, she took no prisoners! She was a little person with a lot of spitfire. She knew what she liked, what she didn't like, and she let everyone know it. She listened to her gut and wasn't afraid to speak her mind. A simple person, with a lot of heart. :)

When we are growing, we know what we like and dislike and are pure of heart...but sometimes something happens along the way, we listen to others...and sometimes we keep listening to others, and their beliefs and their ideas and their opinions, to the point that their opinion and feelings matter more than our own. We can't think for ourselves. We may be conditioned to go with the crowd, instead of with our own inner flow :). Sometimes it's just easier that way, then we don't have to figure out how we feel, or stand in our power and fight for what we believe in.
But then after giving our power over to others for so long, we start to develop physical issues. Most of the time when you give others your power, you start to have stomach and digestive problems, when you give someone else your voice, or you don't speak up for yourself, you develop throat issues, your feet start to hurt because you're not being supported. When you deny yourself vision, you get headaches...it's because inside your spirit, your essence is wanting to be heard, and your physical self is denying it that ability...you have created blockages inside yourself because you are impeding your own natural life flow.
But it's reversable. Just start to do the opposite of what you have been doing. :) Look at yourself, good and long and hard. See you for who you really are, a person deserving to be heard and start peeling those layers off, start respecting yourself, your feelings, your opinions, and while loving and respecting others too, keeping your Self in tact.
It takes work, but I ask you, would you like your life falling off the bones tender, or with a little fight left in it :) Whatever you decide IS your choice. Much love! Jill

Ant Hill Man?

I stumbled on Ant Hill Man while helping a friend outdoors recently...I just looked down and there he was! :) This is a naturally formed face the ants made in their ant hill...I just had to show ya :)

The natural gift of empathy in children

This is a great time we live in. There are many people realizing that they are more than just the body they live in and that they can believe in more than what they see. Churches teach us about faith, and many people go to church for fellowship and learning how to have faith.

What people don't often realize is that we are born with all the tools necessary to know who we are and that faith is a given, because we still feel that connection to our origins until we are about 6-8 years of age. What happens to us? Many people I have spoken with on the path and much that I have read has said the reason this happens is because we have people all around us that say, "that doesn't exist" or "you must be imagining things" or "don't say that because people will think you're crazy" whatever they have been programmed to say when hit with something extraordinary. Some people I know were even abused because of their premonitions, feelings or visions.

Well, after all that, you just want to be "normal" right? To blend in and not stand out? To not be ridiculed, just because people don't understand what you are saying or can't experience what you can? A bit of a person's light dims when they deny who they are. When accepted, their light shines so brightly and with such vibrance that their energy alone will help heal others around them. I know that as a child, it's very difficult to stand up for yourself. You still need protection from others, and to know you aren't the only one. You're not. Just look around :)

For others, I want to explain what empathy is for a child and some typical things to look for. Empathy is one of those gifts you can't turn off no matter what you try to do. You just feel others energy and without proper protection and discernment in learning what is you and what is others feelings, it will affect you forever. Some empaths have explained their feelings of depression over the years, cause their empathy wasn't under control...so that's something to really consider.

I myself am an empath. I was the "shy" one, that wanted to keep away from others, couldn't wait to get home, so I could go outside, and followed the animals around. I just seemed to understand them, and their motives were much more pure than the humans I encountered at school each day...I was the one that wanted to do all the right things. Once I understood what it was (at the young age of 36), my life really started to turn around. I became a much stronger person inside. :)

Here are some things to look for with the child in your life. Or if you suspect you are an empath, please compare yourself to this...and the links below as well :)

When the child is a baby, and is very fussy over the clothes they are wearing and are happiest all spawled out in bed. They do not like to be swaddled in tight blankets.
an empathetic child will be very sensitive, because their skin is very porous and they feel every itch, every tag, every bit of that tightness and just want to get rid of it. they will fuss until the discomfort is gone.

When the baby cries just because other babies are crying.
they feel their pain, sadness, frustration, and cry right along with them

When the child gets nutty at family or social gatherings and tends to either tune out or skip out all together to go and hide and be alone. This also includes school. If there is a lot of activity or craziness in hallways, they will get overwhelmed by other people's energy and will act out or shut down.
as before, an empathetic childs skin is porous and takes in every ounce of stimuli, they feel it in their very core, they know who likes them, who doesn't or may mistake someone elses feelings for their own. they become very overwhelmed easily. they are most disapointed in themselves when they let others down. they have a very strong sense of justice too, and when they feel they are being wronged. they may try to correct something on their own and typically will get into trouble for it.

When the child appears shy and slow to warm up to others, they are simply sizing that person up to see if they are "safe" to be around, so leave them be.
this is a very discerning child. they feel others energy...if the person feels like a good person they will warm up to them, if they do not feel they are a good person, they will not warm up to them at all...this is a very good trait to encourage.

Empathetic children love to be in nature. They might tell you they know how trees, or rocks or flowers or animals feel. They might pass along this information to you.
The best thing to do is listen. Don't think your child is wackadoodle. It's very possible they have the ability to empathize with trees and plants...say "how do you think we can help them feel better" or "great, I'm glad they are happy today...and how are you feeling?" If you have a wilting plant, ask them how they think you can make this plant feel better...give them time to answer, and try their suggestion. Nature also recharges their batteries, so time spent outside will help them a lot :)

The power of prayer, as seen through the eyes of an energy worker

For many years, I have heard of the sort of miracles produced by the power of prayer, and how more "power" is produced when groups of people get together and pray for the same thing.

I have never asked people, though, why they felt it worked so well. I probably took it like others in that the prayers went to God's ears and then "he" granted the wish, right?

Every night, my youngest son and I sit and pray, mainly giving thanks for all that we have, such as good health, all our basic needs met, the things we learned during the day, the love we have and so on. My son then gets to put in what he's thankful for. Once that is done, we pray for those in the world.

One night, we were doing our usual prayer, but something shifted into focus. I began with "for all those who are homeless, may they find shelter" and I paused feeling the energy of my words traveling the energy threads to those very people in need. At this time, though not always, I saw their faces, I saw them getting shelter in a safe place...it was peculiarly interesting and wondrous at the same time. Then I moved on to those who are hungry, living w/violence, lonely, lost...and in pausing, could feel the energy extend from me to those people and animals too.

I began to understand the connection and how a group praying from their hearts for others would reach those in need, the love center in them growing, and them feeling empowered to heal, find shelter, find peace, find love, find safety and how all those who would help them, would hear the message that this was necessary and find a way to provide it.

It strengthens my resolve how much we all are truly connected, and that where there is a will, there indeed IS a way :)
