In my experience, a spirit healer works with a person to help create balance within their energy bodies and help them to become a clear channel for their truth. As with any healing work, the individual is their own best healer, though they don't always know how to begin. Sometimes they need a guide. By working with a spirit healer, this person would come to understand their personal challenges, blocks, false beliefs, and with the help of spirit guides and teachers will learn how to overcome those challenges in order to work toward becoming a clear channel for spirit for *we are all spirit having a physical experience*.
Spirit healers themselves also work to become a clear channel for spirit, for how can one become and effective healer when they haven't gone through the challenge of seeing their own truth and allow change to take place within their own energy bodies? When we go through the test and learn to overcome self defeating beliefs and behaviors, we can then become a light for others and show them the way.
What is the benefit of becoming a clear channel for spirit you might ask? The best benefit is enlightenment. There is also finding your creative passion, experiencing truth, being strong and loving at the same time, understanding your soul path, or your purpose in life, well being, a life free from guilt and martyrdom, and much, much more. I don't to give the impression that merely working with a spirit healer will help you accomplish this all in one lifetime...cause that is the biggest feat of all! Rome wasn't built in a day, and neither was the Earth, but you will get started in living a more conscious life and will certainly be on your way to peeling off the layers of remembrance of who you really are. :) It takes a commitment on your part to really make the changes happen, a spirit healer is a guide helping you along.
One thing to remember is once you begin the path of enlightenment, there is no going back and there is no stopping, for each layer of falseness you pull off, exposes something new to work on. The rewards are too many to stop.
*more on what to expect in the next post* :) Enjoy your day!!
